A great learning event in Glace Bay

We’re delighted to have several events this Polish Heritage Month focused on children and youth. We had a very successful after-school event in Glace Bay (learning Polish crafts and games) on September 19. Many thanks to volunteers and partner organizations. Pogoria Polish Folk Ensemble

On Saturday, September 9, Pogoria Polish Folk Ensemble held a successful open house for the public. Pogoria is this year’s featured artist for Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month. There was free food, dance demonstration, exhibits, singing, Polish paper art, and more!

Sunrise Service on Sep 1

We gathered at the crack of dawn this morning — Friday, September 1 — to release doves and pray for peace on the occasion of the solemn 84th anniversary of the invasion of Poland and the start of World War II. We later raised the Polish flag for Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month.
